Understanding Our Policies and Procedures

At Zoom Photography Studio, we believe in transparency and clarity. Here, you’ll find all the essential information regarding our terms of service, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our clients.

Comprehensive Guide to Our Policies

1. Contract & Booking

By booking a session with Zoom Photography Studio, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. A contract is formed once the booking fee (Refundable Deposit) is paid.

2. Payment & Ownership

We accept all major international debit and credit cards (excluding American Express). Bank Transfer and Cash.  All goods remain the property of Zoom Photography Studio until paid for in full. We reserve the right to withhold delivery of any items until the balance is cleared.

3. Refundable Deposit & Cancellations

A deposit is required to secure your appointment.

  • Refund: This will be refunded or credited at your viewing presentation, provided the appointment is attended.

  • Cancellation: We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling.

  • Late Cancellation: If you cancel with less than 72 hours’ notice, the deposit will be retained to cover studio costs and lost revenue.

4. Production & Delivery

  • Timescales: Production begins once payment is received. Standard delivery is 1 to 6 weeks. We will notify you of any delays caused by third-party suppliers or complications.

  • Shipping: We use Royal Mail or tracked couriers. Risk of loss passes to the client upon delivery.

  • Statutory Rights: If products are not delivered within 30 days (unless otherwise agreed), you have the right to cancel for a full refund.

5. Returns, Refunds & Bespoke Goods

  • Bespoke Nature: Because our products are custom-made to your specifications, the “14-day cooling-off period” under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply. All sales are final.

  • Faulty Goods: If a product is faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will replace it free of charge. Please notify us within 14 days of receipt. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Copyright & Image Use

  • Ownership: Zoom Photography Studio retains the copyright to all images under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

  • Usage: Reproduction or scanning of images without written permission is strictly prohibited.

  • Studio Promotion: We love to show our work. However, we will only use your images for social media, advertising, or competitions if you have provided explicit consent via our separate Model Release/Consent Form.

7. Data Protection & Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • We use your data to fulfil your order and manage your booking.

  • Marketing: We will only contact you with promotions if you have explicitly opted-in to receive them. You may withdraw consent at any time.

  • Our full Privacy Policy is available on our website.

8. CCTV

For the safety of staff and clients, our premises are monitored by CCTV.

  • Footage is stored securely for 180 days (unless required for ongoing legal investigation) and then deleted.

  • Requests for access to footage should be sent to the Data Protection Officer at: gu*@***********co.uk.

9. Late Payments

Unpaid accounts may be subject to interest at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate. Accounts remaining unpaid after 30 days may be referred to a debt collection agency, and the client will be liable for all recovery costs (typically 15% + VAT).

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

ZOOM STUDIOS LTD is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Kanda. Kanda is a trading style of Kanda Products & Services Ltd, Forward House, 17 High Street, Henley-in-Arden, B95 5AA, registered in England (11330964), authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (firm reference number 920795). Kanda is acting as a credit broker offering finance products from a panel of lenders Credit is subject to status. Representative example: 11.9% APR Representative based on a loan of £5000 repayable over 60 months at an interest rate of 11.9% pa (fixed). Monthly repayment of £109.45. Total amount payable £6567.16.
